Full Spectrum Hemp FAQs

First – Hemp Extract is Legal!

In fact, hemp extract is legal in all 50 states and in most countries around the world. Hemp extract is non-psychoactive – so you can’t get a “high” from it and it won’t affect your mental process.

What is Full-Spectrum Hemp Extract?

Hemp is a plant. At Medicinal Blends we use only full spectrum hemp extract, meaning we use the whole plant, which includes all of the cannabinoids found naturally in the plant. Whole plant extract implies that you don’t miss out on any of the plant’s healing benefits.

In addition to the benefits of cannabinoids, hemp extract is a natural source of essential vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, terpenes, flavonoids and chlorophyll. Because the cannabinoids have been proven to work synergistically within our bodies, our full spectrum Medicinal Blends offers superior pain and inflammation relief.

What are Cannabinoids?

We are all born with an endocannabinoid system (ECS).  Scientists have found that natural cannabinoid compounds and their corresponding receptors exist in virtually every living cell and organ system in the human body. Cannabinoids play a crucial role in regulating the body’s health and equilibrium. The ECS helps to manage our sleep cycles, pain response, immune systems, and boost our emotional well-being.

What's the difference between a Hemp and Marijuana Plant?

Technically marijuana and industrial Hemp are the same plant with a genus and species name of Cannabis Sativa, but with different genetic profile. The important distinction is how the plants are cultivated. Typically, industrial hemp is very fibrous, with tall, sturdy stalks, and very few flowering buds. The marijuana plant grows shorter and bushier with a profusion of buds.

It’s important to note that the marijuana plant has a high amount of the mind-altering ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and only a small amount of cannabidiol (CBD). Vice versa, hemp has a very high concentration of beneficial CBD and a minimal amount of THC.
